Teach them to outsource or, where possible, do not do low value tasks.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Buying tools are high leverage; compare the monthly cost of the tool to your employee's hours cost to do it themselves. &nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>\u201cIf you repeat yourself, record yourself\u201d<\/em>&nbsp;to create leverage, whether a template, instructions, or something else.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>And on the flip side ask,&nbsp;<em>\u201cWhat&nbsp;can I uniquely only do?<\/em>\u201d then focus on this things.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ask your team members in their 1 on 1s questions like:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>What are you spending time on every day or week?<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>What do you spend a lot of your time doing? What\u2019s repetitive?<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"key-actions-for-you-to-take-today-from-the-interview\">Key actions for you to take <em>today<\/em> from the interview:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Study the idea yourself to really understand it<\/strong>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"1\">\n<li>Revisit Andy Grove\u2019s legendary leadership book,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3AKNn2S\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">\u201cHigh&nbsp;Output Management\u201d&nbsp;<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Remember: There are no points for difficulty, so look for opportunities to get leverage with low effort on your part.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It starts with one, so just find one place, and then build momentum from there.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>What can you do right now with your team to make a difference?<\/strong>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"1\">\n<li>Teach your team to prioritize high-impact projects<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reward good outcomes, not inputs or effort with your team\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Avoid theater. Appearances aren't valuable compared to results.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Give more headcount or support profit center teams better<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Your First Actions<em>&nbsp;today:<\/em><\/strong>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"1\">\n<li>Ask your team in their 1 on 1s how they could have more leverage:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>What are you spending time on every day or week?<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>What do you spend a lot of your time doing?
